Did you know that children who volunteer are
twice as likely to volunteer as adults? We do, and
we find it a statistic so compelling that we created
a new program to involve young children in service.
Introducing… Kids Care Clubs.
Hands On Nashville runs a club-based model
designed to involve more children in service. Kids Care Clubs
(KCC) are groups of young people (elementary and
middle school-aged) who work together to help others
in their communities and around the world. Clubs are
formed in any of the many groups your child is
already involved in such as schools, churches,
synagogues, and other community-based organizations.
Hands On Nashville serves as the local resource for
area Kids Care Clubs, working with adult leaders to
answer questions and connect the clubs with a wide
variety of hands-on volunteer opportunities.
All you need is:
- a group of kids, ages 5-13 years old, who meet
regularly.
- an adult facilitator.
- a sponsoring organization such as your school,
church or community center.
- the desire to make a difference in your
neighborhood, community and world.
Signing up is as easy as 1-2-3.
