Literacy Reflection Back To Main

Literacy: Read and Lead
Reflection

Reflection helps kids think about what they have done and the impact of their actions. Many activities can help bring a service project full circle, but one that we recommend is simply talking as a group. Here are some questions that you can use to guide conversation for wrap-up:

Reflection Questions:

1. What did we do today?

2. What is one thing you learned today that you did not know before?

3. What are you most proud of that you did today?

4. What was your favorite moment? Why?

5. What advice would you give someone if you knew they were not able to read?

6. What will you do to teach others what you learned today?

Follow-up Activity:
With the advent of computers and e-mail it is seldom that we take the time to hand write letters. However, handwriting has a profound effect on one’s ability to learn the proper use of language. Not only will pairing your youth up with other Kids Care Club kids be beneficial in increasing their social network in Nashville, it is an excellent chance for your youth to practice and build their writing skills. If this idea interests you, please let us know and we will try to partner you with another facilitator that manages a similarly sized club.
