Project Ideas

  1. Think about it—thank about it! Look around your home for things you use or eat every day that originate in the rainforest. Think about how it would affect you if they were no longer around. Then draw pictures or write thank you letters to organizations and companies that work to preserve rainforests.
  2. Put your digits on the record! Many communities offer fingerprinting as part of a child identification and safety program through the police department and healthcare providers.

  3. Go see for yourself! Science museums and zoos offer a wide variety of educational programs and field trip opportunities for people of all ages. It can be fun to compare children’s ideas and understanding of what a museum or zoo will teach them before a visit with their ideas and understanding after an actual visit.
