Our biggest service event of the year is Hands On
Nashville Day. Dozens of corporations come together
through both sponsorships and service to make a
difference, and we would love for you to be included
in this amazing event. This is a great event for
your company to be involved with - here’s what we
accomplished in 2007:
4500: The
approximate number of volunteer hours donated to
Metro Schools.
1000: The number
of Nashvillians who donated their time on one of 72
teams.
97,200: The
projected number of dollars Hands On Nashville Day
saved the 47 Metro schools we served. 70% of our
projects helped support Title 1, low-performing
schools.
47: The number
of schools that were freshly landscaped and mulched.
In addition, 33 playgrounds were landscaped, 29
classrooms were cleaned, and countless shelves,
drawers and cabinets were repaired.
53: The number
of halls painted by HON Day volunteers. This is in
addition to 29 classrooms, 8 cafeterias, 5
portables, 4 gymnasiums, one auditorium, one library
and one bench.
In 2007, our corporate sponsors included The
Buntin Group, CMT, Dollar General, Guiding Light,
Macy's, McGraw-Hill Digital Learning, Sitel,
