HANDS ON NASHVILLE DAY 2006
was an amazing success thanks to YOU!
Thirty-nine Metro schools welcomed
their students to a campus freshly landscaped and
groomed. More than 26 hallways are gleaming with a
new coat of paint. And over 50 schools were the
recipients of 1,200 volunteer workers on September
30th as Hands On Nashville Day got underway.
Thank you to the numerous companies, friends, groups, and
individuals who donated their Saturday morning to
support our public schools. This year's volunteer
efforts saved Metro schools approximately $100,000
and helped accomplish many tasks that would not have
been completed otherwise.
Funds raised during Hands On
Nashville Day support our year-round programs and
projects. If you would like to contribute to our

As part of Hands On Nashville's 15th anniversary
celebration, we continue the volunteer challenge.
New to volunteering? We challenge you to give 15
hours of service back to the community by the end of
the year. Already an active volunteer? We challenge
you to increase your volunteer time by 15 hours.
