We know that the most precious thing you have is
your time. Each day in our community
volunteers make a lasting difference by sharing
their talent - but that doesn't mean you can't fit
volunteerism into your busy life. Last year
our Hands On Project volunteers made a difference...
More than 500 shared a meal with someone in
need...
More than 100 cleaned trails and improved the
environment...
More than 1,000 volunteered in local schools

Most of them gave an average of just 4 hours over
the course of the year, but their time made a real
difference. If you have a busy schedule and it
doesn't allow for a lot of free time, or if you want
to volunteer but don't know where to start, our
Hands On Projects are a great place to start.
Sign up on our website or by phone and you can
access over 30 volunteer opportunities each month.
Volunteers pack food bags for clients of Nashville
CARES, play bingo with residents of the JB Knowles
Home, serve meals at the Nashville Rescue Mission,
and participate in projects with many additional
agencies.

The majority of Hands On Projects take place on
the evenings and weekends giving you the opportunity
to volunteer at times that are convenient for you.
Volunteers select projects "right" for them based on
interests, geographic location or schedule.
Hands On Nashville volunteer leaders, or project
coordinators, greet you at the project, provide
instructions, act as a liaison with the agency, and
thank you when you are finished. Hands On
Nashville does not require a minimum time commitment
of service; instead volunteers can serve as often as
you like or whenever your schedule allows.
Each of our projects is well managed, convenient and
meaningful, so
