Garden Volunteer
The Heimerdinger Foundation is dedicated to educating the Nashville community about proper nutrition, healthy meal options and providing nutrient-rich meals to patients fighting cancer through our Meals 4 Health and Healing program. We are looking for volunteers to help in our Giving Garden. We grow organic food and herbs to be used in meals for our Meals 4 Health and Healing program.
Duties:
Learn basics of organic gardening
Sow and harvest plants as needed for our client meals
Watering and weeding as needed
What to wear/bring:

Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly: Volunteers will be focusing on outdoor activities at this time, most of the garden is in full sun. Please dress for the weather.

Please wear closed toe shoes/boots and clothes you don't mind getting dirty (sandals and flip-flops are not allowed)

Bring a water bottle and snacks to keep you going: Hydration is vital in these hot months!
