Project CURE: Sort and Pack Medical Supplies

Sorting volunteers are integral to the mission of Project C.U.R.E.

As a sort room volunteer, you will identify, sort, and package medical supplies for shipment overseas. Items have already been checked for proper quality by medical professionals and sorted by category.

You will then be responsible for further sorting categories of supplies. You will sort items by Project C.U.R.E. code with the aid of sorting identification materials and a sort team leader. Once items are sorted, they are boxed according to code. Items should be counted as they are boxed. Boxes are then labeled with their respective code and quantity of items in each box. Boxes must be packed fully and sealed tight to prevent any potential damage in storage and shipment. An experienced Sort Team Leader will train, oversee, and assist sort room volunteers.

Requirements:
-Medical experience not necessary, but helpful
-Ability to engage in mild physical labor, lifting boxes up to 20 lbs and standing for long periods of time
-Must wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable work clothing.

This is a great project for a group of friends, co-workers, civic or faith organization.
