Serving Those Who've Served: Home Energy Savings Project
Volunteer for Veterans: Home Energy Savings Project Special Event
In honor of Veterans Day, Hands On Nashville is partnering with Operation Stand Down Tennessee (OSDTN) to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of homes in which Veterans live.
On Nov. 10 and Nov. 12, volunteers will complete a series of Home Energy Savings projects in four homes operated by OSDTN’s Transitional Housing Program, which provides Veterans with the necessary social and support services to ensure a successful return to responsible living.

During this two-day project, Home Energy Savings Volunteers will:
· Install attic and basement insulation
· Weather-strip doors and windows
· Install compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs
· Install low-flow shower heads
· And make updates to improve each home’s efficiency, comfort and safety.
No Experience Needed!
Hands On Nashville’s enthusiastic and skilled team will guide you along the way.
What to wear and bring:
· Please wear comfortable work clothes and closed-toe shoes.
· Lunch, water, and snacks will be provided.
