Fannie Battle Caroling for Kids
Looking for a fun and meaningful cause to support this holiday season?
Create a new Holiday tradition this year by volunteering for Fannie Battle's 101st Annual Caroling for Kids! Individuals, families, and businesses throughout middle Tennessee have enjoyed raising money for Fannie Battle for 101 years! Caroling for Kids continues to be a treasured Nashville (and surrounding areas) event for all.
The ways YOU can get involved are practically endless:
- Caroling: Gather a group (family, friends, service troops, church groups, school groups, etc.), choose a neighborhood and date, and sing your hearts out.
- Parties: Host a party at your home, office, church (wherever!) and collect donations
- Online Fundraiser: Create an online fundraiser
- Donate Directly: Visit fanniebattle.org/caroling to donate directly

101 Years of Caroling for Kids
In the Winter of 1916, with less than one dollar in the treasury, and Christmas looming ahead, Fannie Battle Day Home was nearly forced to close their doors forever. Volunteers worked fervently with local musicians to create the first Caroling for Kids event. Through their performances in theaters, hotels, schools, and door to door, they managed to raise 787 dollars and their dedication enabled them to continue Miss Fannie’s mission.
Fannie Battle Day Home celebrates over 125 years of service to East Nashville’s children. Caroling for Kids continues to be a holiday tradition in the greater Nashville community and remains a vital part of our fundraising efforts. Thanks to our carolers, volunteers, sponsors, and friends we are able to provide top-notch care for at-risk children while their families work or attend school.
