Family Point FunZone Childcare Volunteers
Family Point is a direct resource fair where homeless families will have access to healthcare, job resources, government assistance programs, etc. all in one location.
We need volunteers to assist with our Kids Funzone. We will have bounce houses, games, and activities for children to partake in while their parents attend classes on workforce development, accessing housing, family nutrition, and accessing much needed healthcare.
Volunteers will be assigned in teams to one of the activity areas, games, or bounce house, to oversee the children at their station. We will also have a few volunteers, as well as a site coordinator, that will be overseeing the entire Funzone to make sure that children are directed to activities and enjoying a day of structured fun. Additional responsibilities may include cleaning up near your area during slow times in order to ensure a safe and clean environment for younger children. Only children 6 and up will be allowed to participate in this area without parental supervision.
Several non-profit and governmental agencies who work with homeless families on a daily basis have come together to coordinate this day which will be located at The Salvation Army in East Nashville.
Your time will be vital to the success of the day. Providing parents a safe environment for their children and allowing them to gather much needed information to take themselves from homelessness to self sustainability.
