Cold Food Sorting at Second Harvest
Volunteers are needed to sort perishable food which is stored in a refrigerated room that is kept at a chilly 40 degrees. A jacket and gloves are highly recommended. All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
This is a family friendly volunteer opportunity for families with children ages 12 and up. All volunteers under the age of 18 are required to bring a signed Volunteer Release Form with them to each project. Volunteers under 18 will also be asked to sign a Second Harvest Youth Volunteer Form. Groups of people younger than 18 must be accompanied by adult chaperones - one adult per five young people.
This project does not qualify for court ordered community service hours.
