Van Driver
Pet Community Center is looking for a volunteer or two to help drive our transport van which transports dogs and cats from surrounding counties to/from our clinic. We partner with local animal welfare agencies to provide low cost spay/neuter services to pets in surrounding counties. We provide a free transportation service to make the service convenient for pet owners who have a difficult time making it to our clinic.
Most of our transports happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The van driver would receive training over the course of two transports to learn how the process works. The driver will drive our cargo van in the morning to a central location - usually in Cheatham or Robertson County. Then the driver loads up cats and dogs into the van, checks that all paperwork has been filled out, and delivers the pets to our spay + neuter clinic in East Nashville. There is also a return trip that afternoon.
Sometimes we need a volunteer to work just one shift in the day (6:30 AM to 9 AM or 4 PM - 6 PM), and some days we need a volunteer to drive both shifts.
Must have a clean driving record. Driver will be added to our auto insurance policy.
