Opportunity Details
Digital Empowerment Volunteer
The Digital Empowerment Lab at Martha O'Bryan Center strives to ensure that our community members understand the benefits of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and that they have the skills to take advantage of the educational, economic and social opportunities available via ICT’s. Volunteers have the privilege of transforming the lives of the individuals they serve by providing them with the tools to be agents of their own change. Volunteers will work one-on-one with clients to help them develop digital skills, navigate the internet, and reach personal goals. Volunteers must be able to create resumes, create and use email accounts, and navigate social media websites such as Facebook or Twitter. Special training will be provided by Martha O'Bryan Center's Digital Inclusion Fellow. Hours for the Lab are Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm-5pm. Volunteers can serve between 1-4 hours each week, and will be assigned times based on availability.
