Farmers Market Late Shift
The Hip Donelson Farmers Market serves Donelson and the surrounding areas by making fresh local foods easily accessible to all members of the community. Our market is 100% volunteer, including all staff, so we rely solely on the time our volunteers can contribute. We find that many of our volunteers return because of the fun, festival like atmosphere that includes live music and food trucks! We are looking for volunteers to help on Fridays from 5:30pm-7:30pm, to help with general market duties that include: Vendor Assistance - grabbing them a water or watching a booth during a restroom break. Sweepers - outdoor markets come with wind and that comes with inevitable litter. We try to keep our market as clean as we can and we need the occasional sweep. Social Media - we can always use shout outs on all platforms and sharing of pictures and live goings-on. Walk around the market and share what you see with your friends. Tear Down - when the market closes at 7pm, all the tables, tents, chairs, and such have to go back into the storage room, in an orderly fashion. (Should be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.) Volunteers should note that we are an outdoor market and operate rain or shine. Please dress accordingly.
