Start Now Tutor Training (Antioch)
The Antioch office is in need of volunteer tutors to work with our adult immigrant learners on basic English skills and reading skills with our adult U.S. born learners. The Start Now tutoring program is flexible in that there is no time commitment required. Volunteers can sign up as little or as often as there schedule permits. Each tutoring appointment is one hour. Start Now tutors may work with different learners each time.
All tutoring takes place at our Antioch office during specific Start Now hours (see below).
Antioch Start Now Tutoring Hours: Monday – Thursday: 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, & 7 pm

The Nashville Adult Literacy Council helps adults to improve their reading and English skills, thereby improving our community. Currently one in eight Nashville adults is unable to read. The NALC is essential to the educational gains of adults across Nashville and will help build a community of adults empowered through literacy.
