Waterfest-Cumberland River Compact
Waterfest is a fun way to engage and educate the community about their water and what they can do to help keep it clean! With prizes, educational booths, water slides, and activities for the entire family, Waterfest is the perfect opportunity to bring the community together.
The Cumberland River Compact is a non-profit dedicated to improving the water quality of the Cumberland River. The event will be broken into two shifts (12-3, 2-5). The first shift will be help with setup, water slide, popcorn machine, welcome table, and prize raffle/giveaways. The second shift will include the same tasks but instead of set-up, will help break down.A T-shirt and snacks will be provided for volunteers, as well as time to enjoy the festival.
Let’s Move! Outside
Volunteer hours associated with this project support the “Let’s Move! Outside” initiative, a nationwide effort to provide opportunities for young people to work, learn, play, and serve outdoors and on public lands. This effort is made possible through partnership between the YMCA of the USA, the Department of the Interior, American Express, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry, and Hands On Nashville.
