Playtime at the Playhouses
Here’s a summer opportunity with a twist---the element of play! Playtime at the Playhouses at Cheekwood is just that! Cheekwood’s latest exhibition, “International Playhouses”, features six imaginative playhouses, each spotlighting one of the various countries visited by the Cheeks, the original owners of Cheekwood.
We’ve added something new to the exhibition! Beginning July 12, our young visitors not only will have the opportunity to explore the playhouses and learn about the various countries represented, but also the chance to create a fun art project at the site of each structure. With all art materials prepared and ready at a table near the playhouse, volunteers will guide the children as they create their day’s project.
Playtime at the Playhouses will take place each Tuesday and Saturday morning from 8:30-11, through August, with one to two volunteers needed at each site to direct the activities. Come play!
