9/11 FILL THE TRUCK for USO Unpack and Distribution
In September 2016 the nation will mark the 15th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and Nashvillians will participate in volunteer service projects to pay tribute and honor the memory of 9/11 victims and heroes. On Friday, Sept. 9, the FiftyForward Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will sponsor the 2nd annual “Fill the Truck” event, to benefit the USO. Volunteers are needed to unpack & distribute donations at the FiftyForward Knowles Center from 1:45 pm to 3:30 pm to unpack donated goods, inventory, and pack donated goods in designated vehicles for distribution at the USO Centers. The "Fill the Truck" event benefits the USO Centers at Fort Campbell, Nashville International Airport, the Middle Tennessee Military Entrance Processing Station, and the military men and women they serve.
