Opportunity Details

Invasive Species Removal at Belle Forest Cave

The Belle Forest Cave area, a 4-acre piece of land owned by the Tennessee Parks and Greenway Foundation, needs your help! The beautiful property is an entryway to 230 acres of mature forest, but is currently overrun with invasive plants. We’re looking for volunteers to remove these plants to make room for native species to thrive. If you enjoy working outdoors and improving Nashville's green spaces, this is a perfect project for you!

Let’s Move! Outside

Volunteer hours associated with this project support the “Let’s Move! Outside” initiative, a nationwide effort to provide opportunities for young people to work, learn, play, and serve outdoors and on public lands. This effort is made possible through partnership between the YMCA of the USA, the Department of the Interior, American Express, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry, and Hands On Nashville.
