Opportunity Details
Dismas House Dinner
Dismas House of Nashville is a halfway house serving citizens returning from incarceration. Team up with experienced volunteers to provide a meal and conversation at the Dismas residence to men working to reconstruct their lives after prison. You can prepare a dish ahead of time or cook in our kitchen. Volunteers arrive as early as 5:30. Dinner is at 6:30.
Dismas was founded 46 years ago on the belief that returning citizens and the broader community have much in common and much to learn from one another. Conversation ranges from the light and lively to the moving and profound. To coordinate, please contact Debbie Tumblin immediately upon signing up at deborah.tumblin@lipscomb.edu.
