Dragon Corps Volunteer Orientation
Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT) will be holding a training session for individuals wishing to become part of “The Dragon Corps”, a dedicated group of volunteers who wish to be frequently involved with NCT’s activities.
Dragon Corps (DC) members will be asked to not only help with NCT events, but also to serve as an advocate for our organization in the community. DC members will be sent regular updates about volunteer opportunities, and have the option of participating in roles with a higher level of responsibility than typical volunteers. As such, anyone joining the Dragon Corps will be asked to get a background check online through Verified Volunteers (a basic check costs only $13) and to attend this training session. Benefits of becoming a Dragon Corps member include discounted tickets and a special reception at the end of the season.
This training session will include a tour of the facility, information about the history of our organization, a discussion about ways to be involved during the season, basic training in procedures for customer service, accessibility for patrons with special needs, and emergency preparedness.
