MLK Day at Book’em

Celebrate MLK Day of Service by counting books to be distributed to local, low-income children! No experience is necessary. Simply count to ten…over & over. And come ready to help move a few boxes of books. It really is that simple, plus it’s fun! Your help allows Book’em to start the New Year off right with an accurate inventory.

Donuts and coffee are provided. All should wear comfortable clothing including a hat and gloves since many books are in the warehouse.

Sign up on HandsOnNashville.org. We only have space for 20 volunteers are able to participate. Ages 12 to 15 are welcome with a parent who is also volunteering.

Whether you volunteer one time or every time, Book'em invites you to enjoy each other while helping low-income children throughout Davidson County!

Last year Book’em distributed over 50,000 books (for free!) to low-income children through its Books for Nashville’s Kids program. Book’em is also the sole provider of Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) in Davidson County. For more information about Book’em, visit www.Bookem-Kids.org.
