2017 Walk to Cure Arthritis

On Sunday, May 21st, the Arthritis Foundation will be hosting the 2017 Walk to Cure Arthritis at Nashville’s Centennial Park Band Shell from 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM. This annual event helps spread awareness and raise money to help find a cure for the No. 1 cause of disability in America. The event features a 3-mile and 1-mile noncompetitive course and family-friendly activities. Dogs are welcome. We anticipate 750 walkers with the goal of raising over $200,000.

Two Nashvillians, 6-year-old Kylie and 17-year-old Mitch will also be honored at the Walk. Additional information about the event can be found at www.walktocurearthritis.org/nashville.

We are need of 50 volunteers to serve in various roles during the event. Whether you are close to the disease or simply looking for an inspiring charity event, Walk To Cure Arthritis is a great way to experience the power of standing together and giving back to the community.
 
Prior to the event we need Set-up volunteers from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
 
During the event, from 12 to 3 p.m., we are in need of volunteers to serve in several capacities:
-Registration
-Volunteer check-in
-T-shirt and passport table
-VIP Tent
 
From 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., we need volunteers in the following areas:
-Kids Activity Area
-Refreshments
-Team Photos - oversees area
-VIP Parking
 
From 1:30 to 3:30 PM:
-Water station
 
After the event we need Clean-up/ tear down volunteers from 3 to 5 p.m.
 
Prior to the event, we will email volunteers to get work station preferences.
