Food Recovery with The Nashville Food Project
If you are passionate about keeping good food in the hands of people and out of the landfill, then join us as we recover food from Whole Foods Market Green Hills. You will arrive at TNFP's office to join up with a staff member and travel in our vehicle to Whole Foods where you will help gather donations throughout the store. Once back at TNFP's office, you will help sort, weigh and store the food.
We receive a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables from Whole Foods and these foods are creatively used in our 1500+ weekly meals. You'll need to be able to comfortably lift and move at least 20 pounds. You'll also get a behind-the-scenes look at Whole Foods operations while helping us recover wholesome food.
