Comcast Cares Day at The Contributor
The Contributor (http://thecontributor.org/) creates economic opportunity with dignity by investing in the lives of people experiencing homelessness and poverty. Comcast employees and community volunteers will work together to unload bundles of newspapers from a delivery truck into The Contributor’s office in an assembly line format. After all newspapers are loaded into the office, volunteers will count papers by 10s and stack them in shelves in our sales office. Then, volunteers will sweep and mop floors, take out trash, wipe down tables, and put away all Contributor supplies and equipment after the weekly Contributor newspaper release meeting. Between tasks there will be time to meet and interact with The Contributor's newspaper sellers and get a closer look at the organization from the inside. Getting signed-up is easy: 1.
