Springbreak in the Marketplace
Preston Taylor Ministries is an afterschool and mentoring program that sponsors several avenues for building life-changing relationships. Springbreak in the Marketplace is a program that gives PTM youth an opportunity to experience life after high school. During the week of spring break, PTM and Calvin House youth job shadow different adults from a wide variety of vocations to learn about different careers, but more importantly, to spend time building a friendship with a caring adult. Volunteers pick students up from PTM's site and host students in their workplace for half a day.
Springbreak in the Marketplace is always held during Metro Schools' spring break, which is the week of March 21-23, 2017.
