Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a family-friendly celebration of spring and Japanese culture. The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will begin with the Cherry Blossom Walk.
Festival highlights include a full day of live Japanese music and dance, a roving “Candyman,” martial arts demonstrations, children’s activities, artists and vendors selling Japanese or Japanese-style merchandise and a variety of Japanese food, including special Japanese menus from some of Nashville’s favorite food trucks.
Volunteer shifts are 7 to 10:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. Volunteer opportunities include assisting vendors/exhibitors/artists/performers and festival-goers in all festival areas with set-up, unloading, loading, registration, questions, handing out programs, Hello Kitty Bounce House, Sumo suit wrestling and wrap-up. Proceeds benefit the mission of the Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival Committee to plant 1,000 cherry trees – 100 each spring over 10 years – to help beautify Nashville’s landscape.
