Lambert Dillard Memorial 5K - Smyrna
The second annual Lambert Dillard Memorial 5K and Kids Fun Run is on Saturday, October 18th, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at Sharp Springs Park in Smyrna. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the same location.
The Lambert Dillard Memorial 5K honors the lives of Angi Ross Lambert and Carla Dillard that were tragically lost to violent crimes in 2013.
Volunteers will be responsible for various areas including but not limited to: setup, registration, trash duty, course monitor, rover, packet pickup, etc.
All volunteers will receive a free race t-shirt.
All volunteers of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee are required to fill out volunteer application and pass a background check before volunteering.
Proceeds from all YMCA Race Series events benefit the YMCA of Middle Tennessee's Annual Giving Campaign. As a leading nonprofit committed to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y uses Annual Giving Campaign contributions to nurture the potential of children and teens, improve community health and well-being and support of people in need right in your own neighborhood. By participating in this race, you're making an enduring, lasting impact in your community by giving everyone, regardless of age, income or background, the opportunities they need to learn, grow and thrive.
