Hands On Nashville's Urban Farm - HCA

Whether you're curious about gardening, or an expert green-thumb, this Urban Agriculture project is for you! Come help us as we care for our urban farm by digging in the ground, planting starts and seeds, watering and weeding our existing rows, and making new garden rows to plant in.

No experience necessary and we'll have all the tools you'll need right on site. Be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Water will be provided, but please bring your own water bottle in efforts to reduce the amount of waste we generate on the farm.

Hands On Nashville's Urban Agriculture Program empowers volunteers to gain gardening skills, learn about healthy eating choices, and help address our city's food access issues. Produce harvested from the garden is used in the Urban Agriculture Program's year-round educational activities that teach youth about the food system and how to make healthy eating choices. HON’s urban farm also hosts a Youth Service Camp, a free summer program that teaches Nashville area youth about sustainable agriculture, health, and food security.
