NowPlayingNashville.com Booth at Live on the Green

Join NowPlayingNashville.com and GivingMatters.com at Live On the Green!

We are looking for volunteers for the following dates and times:

Thurs., Aug. 14 (6:00pm - 8:30pm
) - Live On the Green ft. City and Colour, The Weeks, Spanish Gold
Kids Activity:  Get geared up for back to school while making your own backpack tags and guitar picks out of recycled material with Turnip Green Creative Reuse. We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Thurs., Aug. 21 (6:00pm - 8:30pm) - Live On the Green ft. The Head and the Heart, Wild Cub, Goodbye June
Kids Activity:  Celebrate Live On the Green and make your own microphones out of recycled material from Turnip Green Creative Reuse.  We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Thurs., Aug. 28 (6:00pm - 8:30pm) - Live On the Green ft. Capital Cities, The Features, All Them Witches, and more
Kids Activity:  Create your own stamps with Platetone and Turnip Green Creative Reuse. We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Thurs., Sept. 4 (6:00pm - 8:30pm) - Live On the Green ft. Cage the Elephant, Delta Spirit, and JohnnySwim
Kids Activity:  Strum along to the sound of the music, with your very own guitar pick made out of recycled material from Turnip Green Creative Reuse.  We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Fri., Sept. 5 (6:00pm - 8:30pm) - Live On the Green ft. The Wild Feathers, G. Love and Special Sauce, and Augustana
Kids Activity: Have a some fun by making your own Tic Tac Toe game sets to-go out of recycled material from Turnip Green Creative Reuse.  We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Sat., Sept. 6 (12:00pm - 8:30pm) - Live On the Green ft. Jake Bugg, The Lone Bellow, and LP
Kids Activity:  Join in the fun of making your own buttons with paint and markers, provided by Turnip Green Creative Reuse. We will also create a mini-library throughout the duration of the festival.

Ongoing Activities: On-Site Mini-Library for kids/families to take a book or leave a book, Balloons, Hula Hoops, coloring sheets and crayons with markers, and Lollipops.

The booth will be located in Public Square Park, next to the Courthouse. We will have a booth in the Kid's Zone area working with children doing art projects, fun activities, and telling them all about GivingMatters.com and NowPlayingNashville.com in a creative and entertaining fashion.

Our volunteers are asked to wear a solid black shirt to the event. We will hand out NowPlayingNashville.com branded t-shirts to volunteers, if available. Pants, capris, shorts and/or skirts are acceptable. Please make sure to wear comfortable sneakers or sandals, as you could be standing for several hours at a time.

About the event:

Live On the Green is a free outdoor concert series held Thursday evenings in Public Square Park, adjacent to Nashville's Metropolitan Courthouse. The 2014 season will run from August 14th through September 6th, ending with a 3-day festival. Live On the Green showcases Nashville's emerging musical talent and highlights national acts with roots in Music City.
