Volunteer on 9/11 National Day of Service-Habitat for Humanity-ReStore
The 9/11 National Day of Service started as a way to volunteer and support nonprofits, perform positive work and engage in other service activities in observance of the anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001.
FiftyForward RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) is sponsoring and inviting volunteers to participate in a city-wide community volunteer service project in conjunction with September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance on Thursday, September 11th in honor of veterans, active duty military, military families, low income individuals, and seniors.
Volunteers are needed and will be working to benefit the Habitat for Humanity-ReStore.
Habitat’s ReStore sells used and new home and office furnishings and building supplies at a fraction of retail prices. The Division Street store specializes in building materials and supplies, cabinets, paints, and major appliances. Volunteer duties at ReStore may include, but are not limited to, assisting customers, helping organize and merchandise the store, helping receive and inventory donations, and other similar activities.
