Meet Me at the Market Ambassador
Meet Me at the Farmers’ Market, presented by AARP, is an interactive event geared towards seniors to increase their participation at the Nashville Farmers’ Market. This unique, indoor/outdoor experience offers shopping and dining; cooking, gardening, and group fitness classes; and more! Meet Me at the Farmers’ Market is a collaboration between AARP Tennessee, the Nashville Farmers’ Market, and Community Food Advocates.
Volunteers are needed to help with this unique event in the following ways:
- helping administer the Fresh Bucks vouchers to eligible seniors;
- talking with seniors about signing up to be screened for benefits including SNAP, LIHEAP, housing vouchers, health care, and more;
- serving as a liaison between seniors and farmers' market merchants by helping them purchase products.
