Komen Waterway Restoration: Tree Planting
Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Nashville is partnering with local organizations to purchase and plant Red-bud trees as part of the countywide effort to restore creeks, streams, and rivers to pre-flood conditions or better. The trees were bought by Race for the Cure participants in honor or memory of loved ones who have battled breast cancer. This workday is being held to plant the trees. Please dress warmly and come ready to get a little dirty! The day will be topped off with a dedication ceremony at 11:00am. The ceremony will include the name of the survivor in recognition or in memoriam.
