ReCYCLE for Kids Bike Drive
We invite you to celebrate #GivingTuesday by taking part in Hands On Nashville's ReCYCLE for Kids community bike drive!
Hands On Nashville is asking volunteers to help expand access to cycling in Nashville by collecting, refurbishing, and distributing used bicycles to deserving kids. Over the next few months, hundreds of volunteers will come together to... ReCYCLE for Kids. You give. We fix. Kids ride.
To kick-off ReCYCLE for Kids, Hands On Nashville is hosting a community bike drive at our office on #GivingTuesday, and we need volunteers to help make the drive a success!
With your help, we will unload bicycle donations, sort them by size, and then categorize them based on their condition. Volunteers will also help thank bike donors and offer them an in-kind donation form. Finally, all donations must be loaded onto a trailer for storage. This project will remove good bikes from the waste stream and allow them to be upcycled back into the hands of a new owner, providing hundreds of kids with like-new bicycles at our spring giveaway event!
