ReCYCLE for Kids Bike Refurbishment
Riding a bike is a great kid-friendly way to have fun, exercise and safely travel to and from valuable resources, like schools, libraries and community centers. Hands On Nashville's ReCYCLE for Kids engages community volunteers in providing refurbished bikes, new helmets, and basic safety education for underserved children.
You can help! Sign up to volunteer and you will work with bike-refurbishing experts and other volunteers to restore donated bikes to "like-new" condition. No experience necessary – we provide the tools and knowledge!
This summer, the bikes YOU refurbish will be given to area youth at a fun and educational event that also includes road safety activities, a bicycle skills course, and free helmets for participants.
