ReLeafing Day at Isaac Litton Middle School

Join the Nashville Tree Foundation for an annual, family friendly, tree planting event that takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving. Trees provide shade, help to filter air pollution, create an oxygen rich environment, and reduce flooding by absorbing great amounts of ground water. Learn how to plant and care for trees, while also joining forces to make Nashville a greener community! ReLeafing Day is hosted with support from Nashville Electric Service, Metro Beautification, Metro Tree Advisory Committee, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Cumberland River Compact and neighborhood groups.

IMPORTANT VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

ReLeafing Day will take place at 12 MNPS locations in northeast Nashville, all on November 23. Each location has a separate registration page.

You grant all parties the right to use photographs and video or audio recordings of you while volunteering, in any medium, without pay.

ABOUT RELEAFING NASHVILLE DAY
ReLeafing Day evolved out of Nashville Tree Foundation’s highly successful award-winning ReLeaf Nashville project that planted 6,757 shade trees from 1998-2001 to replace some of the 20,000 felled by the tornadoes on April 16, 1998. Since 2002, volunteers across the county have helped plant trees in public spaces and private yards. In partnership with Nashville Electric Service, the Foundation has planted hundreds of powerline approved trees since 2005.

**This opportunity does not accept court ordered volunteers.**
