Over the past several months, Hands On Nashville collected more than 300 pre-loved children's bikes donated by the Middle Tennessee community. Volunteers and experts from Oasis Center's Bike Workshop have been busy restoring these bikes to like-new condition.

On May 17, more than 225 area youth will join us for the ReCYCLE
for Kids Giveaway Event. Volunteers will help kids select their new bikes, fit them for new bike helmets, and offer lessons on how to ride safely.

On Tuesday, May 6, we're participating in a 24-hour online giving day called The Big Payback. The goal of this giving day - powered by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee - is to inspire Middle Tennesseans to join together to support our city's nonprofits.

During The Big Payback on May 6, we'll be asking for donations to support the cost of 200 brand-new bicycle helmets for ReCYCLE for Kids beneficiaries. Our goal is to reach $2,500.

Please mark your calendar and make a plan to sponsor two bike helmets on May 6 with a $25 donation to Hands On Nashville. Gifts of other amounts are greatly appreciated, as well. Starting at 6 a.m. and running for 24 hours, you will be able to make a Big Payback donation on our homepage or at our Big Payback webpage
