Weed Wrangle with GROW at Two Rivers Park Donelson
GROW has formed a land-use partnership with the Metro Parks Department. The agreement includes GROW accepting stewardship of a large portion of urban forest land located in Two Rivers Park. Our goals for this area are to eradicate the invasive plants, replant native species, cultivate a food forestry initiative, and reopen hiking trails for public use.
Volunteers will be removing invasive plants using hatchets, shovels, and small hand-held saws. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools and leather work gloves if they have them.
Please be aware that there are no restrooms on the site and dress for the weather.
