Meal Program Volunteer - Room In The Inn
Room In The Inn serves meals to both the general and residential populations at our downtown campus. Our dining room feeds both the body and soul, offering a place where one can be served and waited upon, receive hospitality, and experience community.
There are a variety of both day and night time opportunities to provide and serve meals to our neighbors experiencing homelessness at Room In The Inn. Our dining room serves 3 meals a day/7 days a week to the men and women in our Recovery Community. Additionally, we serve up to 300 individuals in our general population 6 times per week. Last year, more than 52,000 meals were served, and this could not have happened without the support of our community. This opportunity is perfect for your congregation, small group, business or family.
Volunteer opportunities with the meal program include:
Sponsor & Serve a Meal: Our average cost to prepare a meal is $2 per person. There are opportunities to sponsor a meal for 30, 100, or 300 individuals. Room In The Inn will create the menu and purchase the supplies. We would welcome your group to also help prepare and serve the meal to our guests.
Provide & Serve a Meal: If you would like to take the lead on the menu, we welcome that as well. Our commercial kitchen is available for your use or you can also have the meal catered.
Serve a Meal: If your group is looking for an opportunity to serve, we always need volunteers to help. There are day and night time opportunities throughout the week.
