Weed Wrangle at Mill Creek Greenway (Mill Creek Park Section)
Come help keep our parks’ plant life diverse! Weed Wrangle® Nashville needs volunteers for a project at Mill Creek Park. Our efforts will eliminate invasive plants that compete with native plants along Mill Creek and benefit native wildlife
Your help is needed to:
Weed Wrangle®, is a one-day, citywide, volunteer effort to help rescue our public parks and green spaces from invasive species through hands-on removal of especially harmful trees, vines and flowering plants.
Let’s Move Outside
Volunteer hours associated with this project support the “Let’s Move! Outside” initiative, a nationwide effort to provide opportunities for young people to work, learn, play, and serve outdoors and on public lands. This effort is made possible through partnership between the YMCA of the USA, the Department of the Interior, American Express, the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, Nashville’s Mayor Megan Barry, and Hands On Nashville. - Remove Chinese privet
