American Cancer Society Offices
American Cancer Society offices are open to the public and exist to support local cancer patients with programs and services, plan and coordinate fundraising activities and events, and network within the local community. As part of its local office support, the American Cancer Society offers a wide-range of volunteer opportunities.
Community Office Support Volunteers
Community Office Support Volunteers (or “Support Volunteers”) can assist local American Cancer Society offices in a variety of ways:
- Open and sort mail and faxes
- Prepare regular and bulk office mailings
- Organize office spaces and files
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting office visitors and volunteers
- Help connect volunteers with appropriate office staff
- Help new volunteers with American Cancer Society orientation and on-boarding
Individual and group volunteer opportunities are available and may be customized based on volunteer interests and skills. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
