Mobile Clinic
The mobile clinic is a low-cost veterinary clinic on a renovated RV. We visit a new neighborhood in Nashville each Saturday from 9am -1pm to provide low-cost vaccinations, microchips, flea/tick preventative, and more!
Volunteers will:
- Greet clients,
- Help clients with paperwork
- Provide information about services and pricing to pet owners
- Draw up vaccines and open syringes.
Mobile clinic volunteer shifts are typically around 4 hours. Although volunteers can stay any length of time, it is preferable if volunteers arrive at the beginning of the clinic. We typically see anywhere from 60-100+ pets at each mobile clinic location and it can get pretty busy and it’s hard for us to slow down once things are rolling, so it’s best if we have you there from the get go! Please keep in mind that the mobile clinic is outside; volunteers will also be outside during all seasons, so it is important to dress appropriately.
Registration Line Manager volunteers are responsible for giving clients directions on how to proceed once they arrive at the clinic and will answer basic questions about the services that we offer as well as fill in any blanks on client paperwork. Volunteers will also help clients who may need assistance filling out the paperwork or holding pets while owners are checking in. No experience is required.
Registration Assistant volunteers are responsible for inputting client, pet, service and payment information into ClinicHQ after the patient has been processed. This is a data entry role that does not require knowledge of the services. Volunteers will not have to explain services to clients or take payments. No experience is required.
Medical Staff Assistant volunteers are responsible for assisting the medical team inside the mobile clinic. Volunteers will help draw up vaccines to be administered by the veterinarian, open syringes and prepare microchip information and enter microchip numbers into our database. No experience is required.
