Opportunity Details
English Teacher for New Americans
Develop lasting relationships with adult immigrant and refugee students of different cultures by becoming their English teacher. Assist students in learning a new language and ensuring they achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone with:
- Public speaking
- Communication / soft skills
Teaching experience and/or ESL experience is preferred but not required. We ask for at least 3 hours a week – 2 hours of teaching and 1 for planning. There are several shifts available Monday – Thursday:
- 9am-11am
- 11am-1pm
- 6pm-8pm
This opportunity is part of an ongoing collective volunteerism initiative.
