Attendance & Truancy Volunteer
Glencliff High School needs your help to increase the average school-wide daily attendance rate!
As a volunteer, you will:
Self-starter: willing to take initiative once directions have been provided, willing to develop/share new/innovative ideas, bilingual in Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
This opportunity is available on an ongoing weekly or monthly basis through May 28, either in-person or remotely! Please click ‘Express Interest’ below to contact the opportunity coordinator and see what fits best with your schedule.
This opportunity is part of an ongoing collective volunteerism initiative.
As a volunteer, you will:
- Create and disseminate a survey for parents to discover their perception of truancy
- Follow up with phone calls and home visits (always with a partner) for students with attendance issues
- Work with school deans and principals to create innovative strategies to encourage timely arrival to school
- Create student attendance incentives to promote the importance of good attendance.
