Troop 6000 Troop Leader - South Nashville

In August 2017, Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee launched Troop 6000, an initiative that serves homeless girls and is modeled after similar troops launched earlier in the year in New York City. Through this initiative, girls currently living in shelters, housing projects, hotels and other low-income or temporary living spaces have an opportunity to engage in Girl Scouts by participating in focused troop programming for their specific needs. This program allows girls to participate in badge earning, outdoor experiences, STEAM, community service, field trips and Girl Scout traditions and celebrations.
Girl Scouts of Middle TN is currently looking for dedicated troop leaders to lead a Troop 6000 troop at a location in the South Nashville area. We are looking for volunteers that can commit to a twice monthly troop meeting. The meetings are based off of an established curriculum; troop leaders receive training, materials, and snack for each troop meeting. Volunteers will receive a stipend for leading each meeting. No previous Girl Scout experience is required.
