Tree planting at Christ the King Church and Gale Lane Park

Join the Nashville Tree Foundation to plant shade and fruit trees at several locations primarily in South Nashville. Each location has a separate registration sign up, and you may report directly to the location where you registered. Please make a note of this when making your plans. Once at the location, you will receive training from a NTF Green Shirt Volunteer on how to plant a tree. Teams of 3-4 people will plant trees.

Volunteers will plant 8 trees at Christ the King Catholic Church and Gale Lane Community Park.
  • Physical work involves digging and some heavy lifting.
  • Limited tool supply available; bring your own digging tools if you have them.
  • Wear comfortable, warm clothing and sturdy shoes.
  • Bring water to drink.
  • Gloves provided.

It is the mission of the Nashville Tree Foundation to promote, preserve, and enhance Nashville's urban forest through education, planting trees, and awareness in programs like Big, Old Tree Contest.
