Weed Wrangle at Glen Leven Farm
The Land Trust for Tennessee is partnering with Weed Wrangle to eliminate invasive-exotic plant species from the property in support of sustainable agricultural practices. Glen Leven Farm sits on 65 acres of historically significant urban agricultural land, within sight of Downtown Nashville and contains the 1857 Thompson family mansion.
Please dress for the weather and to get dirty. It will be a fun day of working together to rid the property of invasive plants. Long sleeve shirts, long pants, layers and close-toed shoes. Tools and gloves will be provided but it is advised that you bring a water bottle. If you would like to bring your own tools, please do so.
Weed Wrangle®-Nashville volunteers will learn, practice, and begin a habit of maintaining an area free of invasive plants. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population in the Nashville area.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 12+, Minimum Age:18+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
