Streamline Youth Villages' Holiday Heroes gift tracking
Are you energized by the idea of helping to make sure that every child has a Merry Christmas? Have you been looking for an opportunity to share your BA skills with the community? Then this project is for you!
GeekCause is seeking a volunteer BA to assist a volunteer DBA with developing an improved process for Youth Villages' Holiday Heroes program. This program provides gifts to the children that Youth Villages serves as well as those children's siblings. Currently, the process for tracking wish lists, donors, and gift status is extraordinarily labor intensive and requires a large amount of staff time. The BA will serve to define the requirements necessary to create a database that will allow for an optimal workflow, improve reporting, reduce the amount of time staff must invest to administer the program, and thereby allow more time for them to focus on clients. Full project scope will be available to those who express interest.
Youth Villages helps children and families live successfully. Holiday Heroes is one of their signature programs, and it ensures that over 2000 children have something special under the Christmas tree. By making the administration of this program simpler and less labor intensive, it will help to ensure that all the children receive the items on their wish list, donors are recognized for their contributions, and staff can focus on their other duties.
