One-on-One Tutor Training

We are looking for volunteer tutors to be paired with one of our many adult learners in need of assistance. We have immigrant learners that need help to improve their English skills and adult literacy learners working to improve their reading skills and/or to prepare for the high school equivalency test.

One-on-One tutors are matched with one learner that they meet two to three hours per week at a public location (such as a library, community center, coffee shop, etc.) at a time of their choosing. We ask One-on-One tutors to commit to meeting with their learner for six months. This of course doesn’t mean that a week cannot be missed; we understand people go out of town and things come up.

No prior teaching or tutoring experience is required. Please click the express interest button to start the conversation or to get more information.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
